Project Overview:

The client has been a returning client  that we have worked with for many years on numerous housing projects, mostly federally funded under various programs in Wisconsin, Illinois & Iowa. This project under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (The Stimulus) is a multi-family project consisting of 34 units with the option to add an additional 20 units in the future. Building Code, Site and Utility items needed to be prepared in this phase to handle the possible future additions.

The building is composed of separate “Pods” of 8 or less units per “Pod”, each served by an open staircase accessing each individual unit from the outside. The structure is located on a sloping site and was situated to take advantage of the site by stepping down the grade, allowing many units an excellent view of the surrounding rural countryside on one side, a city park & swimming pool on the other.

The project was constructed to meet the requirements of Wisconsin GBH (Green Built Homes) program, the units are energy efficient in their design, construction & user operation.
