Job description:
The Professional Land Surveyor is responsible for performing boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, subdivision plat, and certified survey map (CSM) surveys for municipal and private projects. Duties include conducting preliminary fieldwork, providing construction staking for utilities and roadways, researching land records, and preparing detailed survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role requires experience with modern surveying equipment such as GPS receivers and robotic total stations, along with strong attention to accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of surveying experience
- Proficiency in the use of modern surveying equipment (GPS and/or robotics)
- Ability to or will take necessary steps to obtain Professional Surveyor License in the State of Wisconsin within 1 (one) year of hire
- Experience with modeling concepts, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work independently.
- Understanding of local, state and national regulations.
- Ability to interpret national and local codes and standards to insure compliance.
- Must be team-oriented and capable of working with other staff members.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to our company’s insurance provider
